Hi! My name is Jill, and I'm passionate about sewing, eating cookies, living simply, my two cats, and my husband, Michael. I feel happiest when surrounding myself with creative ideas and positive energy, so I instantly fell in love with the Etsy community, fllowing that up with my own Etsy shop - SewBeans. I currently live in the suburbs of Philadelphia, but my home is the mountains and hills of Virginia, and my heart is on the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
I've always loved to make things with my hands. (I pursued a degree in architecture, because I wanted to learn how to build models!) I took a quilting class in high school, but didn't finish that first sampler quilt until after I graduated from college. When I finally finished my first quilt, I had so much fun that I bought my first sewing machine and haven't stopped sewing!
Sometimes the best feeling is making something you know will be for someone else. I've created so many things for my friends and family, that they encouraged me to sell some similar items on Esty! I make everything at my shop because I love to sew and hope that someone will be there to love it when it's done.
